The World Championships is a dazzling show, whether it be Paris or Doha, they are both opulent cities, especially by night. Why do I make this intriguing statement, you may wonder. I will explain.

For Kim and Joe Orr of Rose City Arabians, in America, breeding a World Champion has been a lingering desire. They are now, they feel, one big step closer to realizing this cherished dream. And why is that, you may also ask! After quite some time given to finding the type of broodmare, phenotypically and genotypically, that would produce offspring that could compete internationally, they have found her. The Orr's,  are passionate breeders first and foremost.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet the golden girl from the golden cross of astute, almost poetic, Spanish and Egyptian breeding, Sarra Aljassimya. She truly combines the finest blood from each of these two countries and her make and shape, as well as her flawless breed type, echoes many of the greats from past and present. Sarra Aljassimya is a completely modern mare. Maybe it is her ancestor, more than once, the mighty *El Shaklan, that coined the term Golden Cross long ago, but if not, he is the most famous of all the beauties born to this hybrid vigor term.

The blends in her soft, sumptuous and feminine pedigree have resulted in a mare that is just those things. When her breeder, Aljassimya combined the blood of their own program with the gorgeous greys of Om El Arab and the graceful white swans of Redwood Lodge in France, and the ethereal beauties of Ariela in Israel, they did it in the name of beauty, form and function and with their eyes fixated on an international arena. And now Rose City will carry this vision forward to fruition. A task filled with promise.

Sarra Aljassimya has been properly pliable in terms of giving embryos to her new owners. We will get to that in just a minute but first let's also become aware of Silas Rose, her gorgeous and grey 2023 AJ Radman colt that was just sold to Danubius Arabians in Romania, at the direction of Bart van Buggenhout. Silas Rose has a big future so remember the name. There is a full sister to Silas expected this year that should be a beauty as well.

In 2024, there is a Mahder Al Jamal, two embryos by Aria Rakeem and an AJ Radman filly. Sarra Aljassimya must be aware of the plan that has been laid out for her as she is, so far, cooperating beautifully.

I have been in this breed for over fifty years and it is where dreams do come true.

"Thank you to Bart and Aljassimya for helping us lay a pathway to realizing this dream of ours," emotes the Orr's.
